After Hours On Call

Hi, I’m trying to figure out how/if i can use sonar scheduling to identify and assign techs to a 1 week rotation for “after hours on call”. Thanks in advance!

Probably the easiest way to accomplish this would be to put a job in at the end of your shift for that tech to indicate they will be on-call.

For example, if I was to do that, I would a put a job (called Internal Operation) in on the schedule for 17:00 hrs to 20:00 hrs for that tech, and in the notes say they are on-call until such and such a time. This would allow me to shift that job easily to another tech that week if I had to. Here at SyncWave, we have our company setup as an account for internal jobs. We also have our schedule set to span 08:00 to 20:00 hrs each day, even though we really only work 09:00-17:00. This just makes it easier for those odd ball days that happen.
